Our Anaesthesia Team provides sedation, local, regional and general anesthesia, acute pain management and perioperative care support to patients requiring surgical or diagnostic procedures.
The Anaesthesia Service is led by Federico (Freddie) Corletto, working along with Enzo Vettorato, Chiara De Gennaro, Maja Drozdzynska, Nigel Campbell, Becky Bhalla, Paolo Monticelli and Valentina Andreoni (Consultant Anaesthesia Specialists); Veronica Re Bravo, Francesco Zublena and Iago Asorey (Anaesthesia Residents); and Valentina Campoli (Anaesthesia Intern).
The provision of Specialist anaesthesia services is highly variable among veterinary centres and we are proud to have a strong practice-wide ethos in providing top quality support and maximising safety. As veterinary medicine advances, the procedures available for diagnosing and treating serious medical or surgical conditions become ever more complex. We treat many high-risk patients and we provide anesthesia for emergency procedures, using advanced anaesthetic techniques and state-of-the-art monitoring.
Our aim is to provide the highest standard of anaesthesia, analgesia and perioperative care to all patients, minimising pain and stress. We work closely with our colleagues in other disciplines in order to provide the best possible care, in particular regarding analgesic management and support of critically ill patients.
