Dick White Referrals (DWR) is one of the largest specialist multi-disciplinary veterinary referral centres in Europe, offering outstanding levels of clinical care in state-of-the-art facilities.
Qualified vets seeking to train as Specialists must first undertake a one-year rotating Internship, to prepare for their Residency training. We currently train 8 interns each year, with 4 positions starting in February and a further 4 starting in August. During their year, they will work alongside Residents and Specialists in all departments, caring for inpatients and receiving out of hours emergencies. Our Interns will participate in an in-house CPD programme, attending talks by Specialists and reviewing publications. They also prepare and present talks to colleagues.
We welcome both UK and overseas veterinary graduates to join the programme and our Interns have the opportunity to complete a post graduate certificate with the University of Nottingham during their internship.
