Job Title: Specialist in Neurology

DWR is looking for a European/American Diplomate in Veterinary Neurology to join its Neurology team of 3 DECVN, 1 Board eligible, 2 ECVN residents and 3 neurology interns. The neurological facilities including MRI, CT, electrophysiology unit (EMG/BAER/EEG), a full range of neurosurgical equipment including operating microscope and CUSA, dedicated neurosurgery theatre and physiotherapy unit. These are supported by easy and direct access to a radiation therapy unit. The annual caseload for neurology cases is about 2000, and 600 for neurosurgical cases.

DWR was founded in 2002 by Professor Dick White, since then DWR has grown rapidly to become the largest private veterinary referral hospital in the UK, currently with over 300+ people referral-only hospital with state-of-the-art facilities and enthusiastic 40+ RCVS/European/American Specialists Colleagues in anaesthesia/analgesia, cardiology, clinical pathology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, neurology/neurosurgery, oncology, orthopaedic/soft tissue surgery, physiotherapy, veterinary pathology.

DWR is a busy, purpose-built specialist referral-only small animal veterinary hospital conveniently located in Cambridgeshire between Newmarket, the home of horse racing and Cambridge, with its world-renowned University and amenities.

DWR has state-of-the-art facilities, fully equipped with the surgical, diagnostic and hospitalisation facilities commensurate with a flagship specialist veterinary hospital and also has an on-site reference laboratory with both in-house clinical pathology and diagnostic histopathology. As part of our on-going drive for excellence, we have a brand-new building underway, onsite that will create a truly world-class hospital.

DWR is an Educational Partner with the University of Nottingham, we also have the Dick White Nurse Academy onsite and run regular CPD events.

The well remunerated position can be full/part time with a great package including 35 days weeks holiday, 2 weeks CPD, CPD allowance, birthday leave, company pension scheme, private medical insurance. The out of hours on-call rota is 1 a week and 1 week end a month that will be granted of two additional days of time-off.
