Job Title: Laboratory Administrator / Receptionist

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic sample receptionist to join our friendly Laboratory team, working in our busy, purpose-built specialist veterinary centre. The position will involve receiving and processing laboratory samples and booking these into our laboratory management system.

The laboratory reception team are also responsible for answering the telephone / email queries, and administrative duties including entering results, posting samples and tracking workflow / outstanding cases.

Successful Candidate:

Members of the Laboratory reception team are the face and voice of the DWR Laboratory. They are the first people to whom our internal and external clients speak and maintain relationships between the lab and our clinicians. They must be a professional and confident communicator, and be able to deal with a busy, fast-paced workplace. They need to be highly organised and able to prioritise the workload in busy periods.

The successful candidate will have a passion and drive for delivering outstanding client and patient care, will be a team player who enjoys working in a supportive working environment and able to work on their own initiative and challenge the status quo.

IT literacy and the ability to quickly pick up our Laboratory information management system and hospital management system are essential. A scientific background would be advantageous, but is not necessary as full training will be provided. Please note this is a full-time position, operating over a two-week rota (Monday – Saturday, 6am – 2pm). Some flexibility would be desirable.
