After graduating from the University of Milan in 2006, Sara worked in general practice and undertook an Internship in a referral hospital. Following this, she moved to the UK and completed a Fellowship in Internal Medicine and Oncology; and subsequently a Residency in Small Animal Oncology. She gained a Masters Degree in Medical Oncology from the University of Birmingham in 2014 and became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2017. She then held a post as Head of Medical Oncology at a referral centre before joining DWR in 2019.
