Roberta joined DWR in 2015 as an Anatomic Veterinary Pathologist. She qualified from the University of Padua (Italy) in 2007 and, at the same institution, completed a combined PhD-Residency programme in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology. She became an ECVP Diplomate in 2012 and worked as a diagnostic pathologist in Italy and the UK for 5 years. Roberta has a special interest in oncologic pathology. She is a member of the VCS-ACVP Oncology Pathology Working Group and author of various publications in the field of Veterinary Oncologic Pathology, many of which relate to mammary tumours which was the topic of her PhD. In 2014 she received a grant to develop a study on novel markers of cell proliferation in canine mammary tumours. Recently, she has also developed an interest in Ophthalmic Pathology.
