Renata graduated from the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Brno, Czech Republic in 2008. After completion of her PhD at the same institution, she spent some years gaining surgical and medical experience before completing a rotating internship and an ophthalmology internship at referral centres in the UK. In 2017, she obtained a BSAVA Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Ophthalmology with distinction and two years later she successfully completed a three-year ophthalmology residency at Dick White Referrals and is preparing to sit the European Specialist Board examination. Renata continues her career as an ophthalmologist at Dick White Referrals where she is also involved in the teaching of veterinary students and vets. Renata enjoys all aspects of ophthalmology, from clinical work to research. She has a particular interest in ophthalmic microsurgery, neuro-ophthalmology, ocular manifestation of systemic disease and equine ophthalmology. Renata publishes in peer reviewed journals and regularly attends veterinary and human ophthalmology conferences and microsurgical courses.
