Giunio is Head of the Neurology and Neurosurgery Service. After working for 3 years in a neurology referral centre in Rome, he completed a Residency in Neurology at the Royal Veterinary College in 2004. He received the John Presthus award for the best European Resident presentation in Neurology in 2004. He was a Lecturer in Neurology/Neurosurgery at RVC for 3 years and joined DWR in 2007 to set up a dedicated Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neuro-oncology Service. Giunio’s primary field of special interest lies in the surgical and oncological management of neurological cancer. In order to further his knowledge in this area, he collaborates with neuro-oncologists working in human medicine and is an active member of the British and European Society of Neuro-oncology. He publishes in peer reviewed journals and has presented at national and international conferences. He is a member of the Society of British Neurological Surgeons.
